Vice specially
designed for precision tooling, which allow a high flexibility af
use thanks to their minimum dimensions and to the possibility of
beign mounted either on a surface, or on their side, or vertically.
Both the body and the slide are made from high resistance cast iron.
The sliding surfaces are HRC 45 hardened. The jaws are added peices
made from HRC 58 hardened steel. The special construction of the
moving slide can transform part of the horizontal clamping force
into a vertical force in order to prevent the slide unit from lifting
after clamping; by such a way, the parallelism between jaws is granted,
and this permits to reduce the oscillation of the piece to be machined.
The wearable pieces, such as screw and sliding guides, are protected
by special cases suitable to avoid any contact with chips or metal
particles, thus reducing maintenance and cleaning operations, so
as to grant a long working life to the vice.
